Contact tracing is now necessary in WA from December 5th 2020.
As a direction order applies to our business, the collection of this personal information is necessary for our organisation’s functions of activities. This means the collection of contact information is permitted under the Privacy Act 1988.
Maurice Meade is committed to contract tracing to help stop the spread of COVID-19. We now have QR codes at all our salons that require all visitors to the salon to ‘check in’ on their smart phone.
If a client is unable to check in using a phone we are required to check that all visitors’ details are correct, this includes a full name, telephone number and email.
This is so that if there is a case of COVID-19 in Western Australia and someone visits our salon, we can quickly contact any patrons who have visited their salons to inform them.
